Okonomiyaki (お好み焼き) is a pan-fried Japanese dish cooked with various ingredients. Okonomi means "what you like" or "what you want", and yaki means "grilled" or "cooked". It looks like a pizza, but is made similarly to a pancake.
We like mochi and cheese, or kimchee, or pickled ginger and shiso leaf, or eggplant and tomato, or broiled salmon. . . But my favorite ingredient is the katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes) which taste smoky and look pretty on top. Have fun with this!
